Join the Lab

Postdocs

There is a postdoc position available to work on the gene regulatory evolution of postmating prezygotic traits (See project here). This is a fully funded 4+ year position, with a very flexible start date. The position will be officially posted in fall 2024, but could be filled as late as fall 2025 depending on the preferred candidate’s timeline.

I am also always open to pursuing external funding opportunities with prospective postdocs. Please contact me if you are interested in writing a proposal together.

Graduate Students

There are graduate student positions, PhD or MS, available in my lab for Fall 2025. If you are interested in joining the lab, contact me directly prior to submitting an application to the department. In your email, please introduce yourself, describe how your research interests overlap with mine, and include a CV. In general, I have projects related to our funded research in the field cricket hybrid zone, but I am also happy to talk with prospective students about other possibilities. Students in my lab are supported through a combination of Graduate Research Assistantships and Graduate Teaching Assistantships from the Department of Biology - so recruitment depends on the availability of these positions. I also encourage all eligible applicants to apply for external funding.

Undergraduates

There are lots of ways to get involved in undergraduate research in the lab through work study or for credit. If you think you might be interested in working with insects, programming, or genomic methods please contact me!
